Power dynamics between employee and employer is scrutinized in the bottom right as four women sweep indefinitely, outputting productivity, as smaller authoritative figures stand idly nearby. Sharp grids, repeating traffic, and a heavily monochromatic palette personify the cumbersome daily grind in profit over people society.

Illustrated through digital collage animation, Long Been Gone touches on humanity’s influence on the Earth through agriculture, geopolitical conflict, and consequent climate impact. We as the viewer are situated on stage as nature is seated on the theater balcony, realized as a member of the audience observing our actions. The culmination of crowd sourced imagery speaks of the global effort it takes in addressing problems larger than the individual.
Long Been Gone was displayed in Chicago’s central business district as part of EXPO Chicago’s 2023 OVERRIDE Program in partnership with Chicago’s DCASE.

Working alongside ETHChicago and incorporating music crafted by Cullah, this piece of art was created to commemorate the 2023 holiday season and the triumph of ETH CHI’s first-ever conference held in September of that year.
While incorporating visual elements to depict the vibrancy of Chicago and the intricacies of urban life, Immutable Spirit represents broader concepts of community, technology, and innovation, illustrating their resilience even in the face of adversity.
Immutable Spirit is an open edition and was made free to claim for the entire community during a short period. The window to claim has closed and the artwork has a final edition count of 91.

Inspired by Rachel Carson's book, "The Sea Around Us," my goal is to illustrate humanity's relentless longing to delve into the depths of both the ocean and the cosmos.
Employing visual elements from Karl Friedrich Schinkel's "Queen of the Night's Hall of Stars" and Luis Falero's "Twin Stars," I integrate them with found footage of marine life and underwater vistas. Through this fusion, I seek to capture the profound essence of mankind's exploration of the boundless mysteries that lie beneath the waves and amidst the stars above.
As long as we tread on land, I believe we'll always have a calling back into the water or up towards the night sky.
